1. Service Description
Passo.digital ("Passo", "the Service") is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that enables businesses to create Digital Product Passports (DPPs) in compliance with EU regulations. The Service provides a guided wizard for DPP creation, QR code generation, hosted public product pages, and a management dashboard.
2. Important Disclaimer
Passo is a tool for creating Digital Product Passports and does not constitute legal advice. Users are responsible for ensuring their DPPs meet all applicable regulatory requirements. Passo facilitates the creation process but does not guarantee regulatory compliance. We recommend consulting with legal professionals regarding your specific compliance obligations.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 16 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement to use the Service. By creating an account, you represent that you meet these requirements.
4. Account Responsibility
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You must promptly notify us of any unauthorized access.
5. Subscription Plans and Pricing
5.1 Plans
- Free: 1 Digital Product Passport
- Starter (€19/month): Up to 25 Digital Product Passports
- Professional (€49/month): Up to 200 Digital Product Passports
5.2 Payment
Paid subscriptions are billed monthly via Stripe. We accept credit cards, SEPA Direct Debit, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. All prices are in Euros and exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
5.3 Cancellation and Downgrade
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the Stripe Customer Portal accessible from your Settings page. Upon cancellation, your account will be downgraded to the Free plan at the end of the current billing period. Your existing DPPs remain accessible, but you will not be able to create new DPPs beyond the Free plan limit.
5.4 Refunds
Subscription fees are non-refundable. If you cancel mid-cycle, you retain access to paid features until the end of the billing period.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service for any unlawful purpose
- Upload misleading, fraudulent, or harmful product information
- Attempt to circumvent plan limits or rate restrictions
- Interfere with or disrupt the Service infrastructure
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or attempt to extract source code
- Use automated tools to scrape or bulk-access the Service
- Upload content that infringes third-party intellectual property rights
7. Intellectual Property
7.1 Your Content
You retain ownership of all product data, descriptions, and images you upload to Passo. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to host, display, and transmit your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
7.2 Our Service
The Passo platform, including its design, code, and branding, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or service marks.
8. AI-Generated Content
Passo offers an optional AI Description Helper powered by Google Gemini. AI-generated descriptions are suggestions only. You are responsible for reviewing and approving all content before it is published in your DPP.
9. Liability Limitations
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Passo shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free service. We target 99.5% uptime but this is not a binding SLA for individual users.
10. Account Termination
You may delete your account at any time from your Settings page. Account deletion has a 30-day grace period, after which all data is permanently removed. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
11. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Czech Republic. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Prague.
12. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email to registered users. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
